Germano R. “Jerry” Rubino, AIA is the founding principal of Di Cara | Rubino Architects. Jerry has 30 years of experience in all facets of architectural practice. He is an integral part in assisting our clients to define their goals by communicating effectively with all levels of participants in the design and planning process - from the owner/client, to engineering consultants, to the contractors in the field. Jerry is a creative and knowledgeable professional possessing a remarkable ability to manage the entire project process from design conception to building occupancy.
Jerry has collaborated with over 100 local school districts and has been working with the New Jersey State Department of Education for over 35 years. He is intimately familiar with the procedural requirements of the Department of Education and the New Jersey Schools Development Authority, as well as other regulatory agencies involved with the school planning and design process. Jerry’s educational design experience also extends to the College and University sector, where he has overseen recent projects for Union County College and Hudson County Community College.
Jerry’s insightful approach to design and planning has also been established in the municipal markets. During his three-year tenure as the Director of Design and Construction for the County of Passaic, he was responsible for managing a staff responsible for the design and planning of 23 major projects at various county institutions.
Jerry is an avid reader of Tom Clancy novels and plays golf as often as he can, despite his golf handicap – his swing.
