Project Manager
Candidates should have a minimum Bachelors degree in Architecture and 5-7 years of experience in public sector design work. Bachelor's degree in Architecture and NJ State licensing is required. A solid background in preparing construction documents, knowledge of codes, strong detailing skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with Revit, SketchUp, and other graphic and design programs is a plus. An eye for detail and an ability to see the overall scope of a project and effectively assemble building components into a complete package is essential. Good interpersonal and communication skills are also necessary in this position where you will interface regularly with clients and other professional consultants.

- Directly responsible to the client and the firm for the successful execution and leadership of projects including the meeting of project goals, client service, quality of work performed, utilization of staff, marketing reputation of the firm, and profitability.
- Overall responsibility for leading, motivating and providing a team environment for the project members by inspiring a shared vision, enabling others to act, challenging the process, taking risks and assuming ultimate responsibility for the team's actions, exercising good judgment and continually increasing people skills.
- Responsible for articulating and communicating the client's vision, goals and objectives through development of the project work plan during the planning phase.
- Responsible for developing the project fees and contracts during the planning phase and establishing the project schedule, budget and profitability during the start-up phase.
- Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, meeting design intent and client vision/goals, and at the required level of quality.
- Assist with developing strategies for approaching clients and cultivate business development opportunities by presenting firms services to potential clients. Work with office BD leads to identify new project opportunities. Serve as point person for managing the development of proposals including identifying DRA and consultant team, developing project schedules, work plan and proposed fees.
- Responsible for continuous management and development of key, repeat clients. Maintain good working relationships with the client to promote future opportunities.
- Participate in client presentations and project meetings.
Job Captain / Draftsperson

Most projects move very quickly once under construction.
Candidates should have 5-7 years of experience in overseeing the design and construction of public-use facilities. - Provide construction administration services as part of an effort to maintain quality control and be responsive to our clients' concern
- Be reactive to the continuing flow of inquiries, submittals, and requests for changes and payments that characterize daily construction contract administration
- Serve as a representative of the client, and advise and consult with the client during construction
- Visit construction sites at regular intervals appropriate to the stage of construction to become generally familiar with the progress and quality of the work completed and to determine in general if the work is being performed in a manner indicating that the work, when completed, will be in accordance with the contract documents
- Review contractor's applications for payment and certify the amounts due the contractor(s)
- Review contractor's submittals such as shop drawings, product data and samples for the limited purpose of checking for conformance with information given and the design concept expressed in the contract documents
- Prepare change orders and construction change directives, for the owner's approval and execution in accordance with the contract documents
- Conduct site visits to determine the date or dates of substantial completion and the date of final completion
- Receive and forward to the owner for the owner's review and records written warranties and related documents required by the contract documents and assembled by the contractor
- Issue a final certificate for payment upon compliance with the requirements of the contract documents
- Make decisions on matters relating to aesthetic effect shall be final if consistent with the intent expressed in the contract documents
- Render written decisions on all claims, disputes or other matters in question between the owner and contractor relating to the execution or progress of the work as provided in the contract documents
