As part of our “on-call” status with Hudson County Community College, Di Cara | Rubino Architects was retained to provide architectural and engineering services for a nursing suite at the College through a partnership with CarePoint Health.
The project began as a feasibility study to determine the space and program needs of the new nursing program to be located on the first floor of the Cundari Building at 870 Bergen Boulevard. A careful review of the existing conditions and mechanical systems was performed, and a space needs analysis and options study were presented. The study included preliminary cost estimates for each option identified, prioritized each item for evaluation, and highlighted recommendations. The project entailed fitting out 12,100 square feet of existing space. The renovations provided for a Simulation Nursing Lab, Instruction Offices, Academic Classrooms, Conference Room, Debriefing Room, Computer Classroom, Administrative Offices, Student Lounge and other ancillary spaces. Renovations included all new walls, doors, ceilings, lighting, floor finishes, as well as necessary HVAC and electrical upgrades. |
